EL AL has replaced its decade-long safety video featuring illusionist Lior Suchard with a new series launching in August. The new videos show Israeli celebrities including Gal Gadot, Rotem Sela, Deni Avdija and Lior Raz, and employ advanced technology in their production.
The airline created approximately 10 different versions of the safety video, each tailored to specific destinations. Rather than showing the same video across all flights, passengers will see destination-specific content with varying visual elements and, on select flights, destination-specific recommendations.
The production utilized artificial intelligence technology integrated with Samsung Galaxy devices and Galaxy AI as part of both the storyline and visual language. The technology allows EL AL to create multiple video versions, refresh content over time and incorporate new destination-specific stories while maintaining focus on critical safety messages.
The approach reflects a broader industry trend in which airlines use creativity, humor and celebrity talent to increase passenger engagement with safety instructions.
EL AL CEO Levy Halevy stated: "We are proud to continue bringing our customers one of the most advanced travel experiences in the world. The new safety video series combines creativity, technology and high-quality content, allowing us to communicate important safety messages in an innovative and relevant way while joining a standard now embraced by the world's leading airlines. The decision to feature Israeli stars who have achieved success on the international stage reflects EL AL's values of excellence, innovation and Israeli pride, while adding another layer of connection to Israel and the story we bring to the world."
Kenny Rozenberg, one of EL AL's controlling shareholders, said: "EL AL continues to strengthen its position as a global airline that adopts the most advanced standards in the aviation industry and brings them to its customers. This initiative reflects the way we view EL AL: an airline that leads through innovation, remains connected to its roots and proudly represents Israel wherever it flies. As an Israeli airline, it is important for us to continue showcasing the Israeli spirit, innovation and excellence that define who we are."
