CNN host Donie O'Sullivan questioned progressive streamer Hasan Piker about whether he would support a 2028 Democratic presidential nominee who holds positions on Israel that Piker opposes.
Piker rejected the premise of the question. "Luckily, I don't think I will have to make that calculation at all, because there is 0% chance that whoever the elected Democrat is that wins the primary will be pro-Israel in any way, shape, or form, you'll see," He said.
O'Sullivan pressed further, asking if Piker would back a nominee with an Israel policy he disagreed with if it meant defeating what Piker has characterized as fascism in the United States. Piker reiterated that he would not face such a choice.
The exchange reflects broader disagreement within the Democratic Party over U.S. Policy toward Israel, a debate that intensified following the October 2023 Hamas attacks and the later conflict in Gaza.
