Huckabee: Trump Is Willing To 'Bankrupt' Iran

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee said President Donald Trump is applying pressure on Iran through military and economic means, contending that combined American-Israeli military strikes and economic pressure have weakened Tehran more severely than at any time since the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

In a Newsmax interview, Huckabee said Trump's approach extends beyond military action alone. "He's not just proven that he was willing to bomb them, but he's also willing to bankrupt them," Huckabee stated.

According to Huckabee, the joint U.S.-Israeli military campaign inflicted significant damage to Iran's defense infrastructure, placing the regime in its most vulnerable position since 1979.

Huckabee also commended Secret Service measures taken to protect Trump during his departure from Turkey, citing concerns over a potential Iranian assassination threat. Last month, Trump was covertly transported from Turkey via an alternate military aircraft after security concerns emerged. Initial footage showed Trump boarding the standard Air Force One Boeing 747, but he was later removed and transported across the airport in a catering truck before boarding an Air Force C-32A, a modified Boeing 757, which carried him out of the country.

"The president is obviously the most targeted person in the world," Huckabee said. "What they did was a masterful operation."

Huckabee defended the operation's secrecy, dismissing criticism that it misled reporters. "It fooled everybody, and that is why it was effective," He said. "It was all about the security for the president. It was a brilliant plan, and it was executed flawlessly."

Huckabee highlighted Israeli intelligence's contribution to the security operation, noting that Israeli Mossad helped confirm the credibility of the Iranian threat against Trump, describing it as evidence of the practical value of U.S.-Israel security cooperation.

Trump addressed the aircraft switch with reporters, saying he followed Secret Service and military guidance. "Well, it's only up to Secret Service. I just follow what they'd like to do," He explained, adding that he receives numerous threats.

Trump reiterated his distrust of Iran, asserting U.S. Dominance in their confrontation. He claimed the United States has complete control of the Strait of Hormuz and characterized Iran as "a country that has been the bully of the Middle East for 50 years" That "are no longer the bully of the Middle East."

When asked about his prior warning that ongoing negotiations represented Tehran's final opportunity before facing "decapitation," Trump offered limited detail, stating: "You'll find out." When pressed on whether major military escalation remained possible, he replied: "Well, we certainly have that ability if we want to do that. You'll find out."
