The Israel Defense Forces said it detained more than 200 wanted Palestinians in Judea and Samaria and seized funds designated for terrorism totaling tens of thousands of shekels during the past week.
Those apprehended included individuals accused of promoting and inciting terrorism, Hamas-affiliated suspects, a wanted person allegedly planning an imminent attack, suspects involved in smuggling illegal residents, arms dealers, and a suspect involved in manufacturing explosive devices, according to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit.
IDF troops also confiscated dozens of items used to manufacture weapons, airsoft weapons, hunting rifles, a pistol, and an unmanned aerial vehicle. The military located and dismantled five explosive devices.
Two homes belonging to Palestinians responsible for deadly attacks in the Alon Moreh area near Nablus the previous week were identified, with one sealed ahead of demolition under Israeli policy regarding residences of terrorists. Two Israelis were killed and six wounded in a terrorist shooting near Havat Gilad in Samaria on July 24 when a group of hikers was attacked by Palestinians.
The victims were identified as Benayahu Melet, 32, a member of the community's rapid-response security team and its agriculture director, and Maj. Yuval Ezra, 27, from Herzliya, a commander in the 411th Battalion of the 282nd Artillery Brigade, who died from his injuries.
