The Israel Defense Forces and Israel Security Agency announced Tuesday that they eliminated a Hamas terrorist who infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7, 2023 attack, alongside two additional Hamas operatives in a joint operation in northern Gaza.
The primary target was Abdallah Jahja, a member of the naval force of Hamas' military wing, who entered Israel during the October 7 attack. According to the IDF and ISA, he had advanced maritime terror attacks targeting IDF troops and Israeli civilians throughout the war and in recent days.
Two other Hamas members were also killed in the strike: Mohammed Al-Hawari, a cell commander in Hamas' Zeitoun Battalion, and Sabhi Saqallah, an observation operative in the same battalion. Both had advanced terror attacks against IDF forces and Israeli civilians, the agencies said.
The IDF and ISA stated the three were eliminated to remove the ongoing threat they posed.
