The Israel Defense Forces and Israel Security Agency struck and dismantled weapons storage facilities, a weapons manufacturing site, and underground terrorist infrastructure belonging to Hamas in the Gaza Strip, the military announced Friday.
The operations, conducted the previous night, produced secondary explosions that indicated the presence of weapons in the targeted locations, according to the IDF.
The storage facilities held Kalashnikov rifles, RPG launchers, mortar shells, explosive devices, and other military equipment. The military stated these "were intended to be used against IDF troops operating along the Yellow Line and against Israeli civilians."
The IDF said "The Hamas terrorist organization continues to systematically and flagrantly violate the ceasefire agreement while attempting to rebuild its military capabilities and terrorist infrastructure."
The Yellow Line marks the defensive barrier established by Israeli security forces within Gaza during the conflict that began with the Hamas-led invasion and massacre in the northwestern Negev on October 7, 2023. Israeli forces currently occupy approximately 60% of Gaza, positioned east of the Yellow Line, which extends the length of the Strip from north to south.
