The Israel Defense Forces said Monday it conducted overnight strikes on terrorist targets throughout the Gaza Strip, targeting an arms storage facility, a weapons production site and a rocket launch pad.
"The weapons were intended to be used in order to harm IDF soldiers operating in the area of the Yellow Line and Israeli civilians, and were dismantled in order to remove the threat," The statement continued.
IDF soldiers remain deployed in the enclave under terms of a U.S.-brokered ceasefire agreement "and will continue to operate to remove any threats," According to the military.
The October 10, 2025, truce ended a two-year conflict that began with attacks on October 7, 2023, when Hamas, other Palestinian militant groups and residents from Gaza entered the northwestern Negev, resulting in approximately 1,200 deaths, mostly civilians, and the abduction of 251 people.
On Thursday, the IDF killed Anas Mahmoud Ahmed Hamdan, a Hamas company commander who participated in holding Israelis captive following their abduction on October 7. According to a joint statement from the IDF and Israeli Security Agency on Saturday, Hamdan also oversaw propaganda operations for Hamas's Khan Yunis Brigade and served as a close aide to senior commanders in Hamas's military wing, including Mohammed Deif and Rafaa Salameh.
