IRAN TALKS: Pezeshkian Reveals Seven-Hour Meeting With Supreme Leader Khamenei

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian disclosed that he recently met with Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei for seven consecutive hours, characterizing the discussion as "very good." He shared details of the meeting while addressing political party leaders and activists at Iran's Interior Ministry.

The conversation covered multiple pressing national issues, with significant focus on the economic hardships affecting Iranian citizens, including employment, housing, and the consequences of economic sanctions. Pezeshkian and Khamenei also discussed strategies for the government and public to address these economic challenges together.

According to Pezeshkian, Khamenei stressed the importance of maintaining national unity and cohesion, cautioning against efforts by what he characterized as Iran's enemies to sow divisions. "There may be disagreements inside the house, but outwardly we will speak with one voice so that our enemies know that Iran stands firmly in defense of its independence," Pezeshkian said.

Pezeshkian acknowledged the frustrations facing ordinary citizens regarding the country's economic difficulties and committed his government to resolving them. "If you see shortcomings and difficulties, know that we feel ashamed, but we will do our utmost to serve you and solve the problems," He said.
