IRONCLAD COMMITMENT TO LIES: BBC Reporter Drops Interview With Israeli Expert Who Demanded Accuracy

Prof. Mitch Schwaber, director of Israel's Health Ministry's National Center for Infection Control, said a BBC reporter withdrew from a scheduled interview after he raised concerns about accuracy. In remarks to Kan Moreshet Radio, Schwaber described being contacted by a senior BBC correspondent seeking a briefing for a special report on the health situation in Gaza. Before agreeing to participate, Schwaber said he presented the reporter with six examples of what he characterized as false BBC reporting - four involving health-related issues and two cases of journalistic negligence. "I told him if you are really going to do this report and you want my help, then I want to know how you can assure me that this won't be another case where you publish incorrect information that has real consequences for Israel," Schwaber said. According to Schwaber, the reporter declined to respond and cancelled the interview. "I haven't heard from him since," Schwaber said.
