Israel Prepares Contingency Plan for Independent Iran Strike

Israeli officials are preparing plans for unilateral military action against Iran should the United States withdraw from further strikes, according to reports Saturday.

Defense Minister Israel Katz has ordered the military to develop an independent strike plan. Katz stated that Israel would hit Iran hard if attacked and that there would be no compromise on the country's right to self-defense.

Israeli media outlets have reported that officials expect diplomatic efforts to prove unsuccessful and anticipate eventual escalation. Israeli sources indicated the country has prepared operational plans for further action but is currently holding back, with no imminent plans to launch an independent offensive at this time.

Officials have not received formal requests to participate in a U.S. Military campaign, though military readiness remains elevated as discussions between Washington and Tehran continue to deteriorate.
