MOSSAD PSYCHOLOGICAL WARFARE? Expert Says Mysterious Leak Has Arab Leaders In Panic

A mysterious report involving two unidentified Arab leaders may represent an Israeli intelligence operation designed to create fear across the Arab world, according to psychological warfare expert Dr. Ron Schleifer, who suggests the Mossad was likely responsible for the leak.

The reported conversation allegedly involved one Arab leader advising another to sign an agreement that would "put Israel to sleep." While the leaders remain unnamed, Schleifer told Arutz Sheva their identities are secondary to the broader message. "Israel is apparently listening in on Arab leaders and decided to spread this information," He said.

The information was provided to Israeli journalist Amit Segal, a choice Schleifer viewed as strategic given Segal's right-wing orientation and his position at Channel 12, described as Israel's most popular television channel. Schleifer noted that journalist Ronen Bergman did not receive the story, suggesting what he called evidence of "a new era here."

According to Schleifer, the psychological impact is substantial. The two leaders now face uncertainty about whether their identities will be exposed to Western audiences. "They are not eating or drinking because of the worry and pressure and the fear of the enormous embarrassment they will face when their identities are exposed, and they will be exposed at some point to the Western public," He said.

Beyond the two leaders involved, other Arab officials must now consider whether Israeli intelligence monitors their most sensitive communications and what additional information Israel may possess.

Schleifer also referenced Egypt, noting that despite a peace agreement with Israel, Egypt violated it from the first week and the Sinai Peninsula has become a platform for military equipment rather than operations against ISIS.

Schleifer views the episode as evidence of Israeli adoption of psychological warfare strategy. He identified Unit 8200 as conducting technical intelligence work, with the Shin Bet handling internal Israeli matters, the IDF operating in Gaza, Lebanon and Judea and Samaria, and the Mossad under chief Roman Gofman handling broader operations.

"The entire Arab world is boiling because of two lines that were leaked to a journalist," Schleifer said. "All this as a result of picking up the phone to a journalist who can be trusted."
