24Six, a kosher Jewish music streaming platform, announced its first subscription price increase since launching nearly four years ago. The company attributed the move to rising operating expenses, infrastructure costs, and its ongoing commitment to paying royalties to frum artists.

The price increase takes effect Sept. 1, 2026, nearly four years after the service debuted on Nov. 19, 2022.

The platform has grown significantly since its launch. Tens of thousands of families now use 24Six daily across smartphones, vehicles, and proprietary listening devices designed for kosher use. Users have collectively streamed nearly three billion songs since the service began.

Over this period, 24Six invested in new features, expanded filtering and parental control options, improved hardware devices, and worked with Rabbonim and community leaders to maintain appropriateness for all users. The company chose not to raise prices during its first three-and-a-half years despite mounting costs, describing this as part of its responsibility to subscribers.

24Six cited significant changes in financial conditions, pointing to dramatic increases in storage, memory, and server costs driven by industry-wide price hikes and expansion of its music library and listener base. The company noted it has paid millions of dollars in royalties to frum artists on the platform.

"As we continue building, curating, and supporting the artists and families who make 24Six what it is," The company wrote, "we are updating our subscription prices for the first time."

New rates effective Sept. 1 are:

Single: $11.99 monthly or $119.99 annually

Duo: $17.99 monthly or $179.99 annually

Family: $23.99 monthly or $239.99 annually

The updated pricing applies at the start of each subscriber's next billing cycle on or after Sept. 1. Annual plan subscribers will continue at their current rate until their next yearly renewal.
