A new High Holidays magazine designed for Chabad centers aims to help shluchim connect with Jewish communities during Rosh Hashanah. The Soulwise publication is expected to reach approximately one million readers this year, featuring teachings from the Rebbe presented for contemporary audiences.
The magazine enables shluchim to maintain contact with Jewish households in their areas. One shliach recounted how a reader was motivated to purchase tefillin after engaging with the publication's content.
This edition includes Chasidic teachings from the Rebbe, with several selections translated into English for the first time. Topics explored include an examination of why Yom Kippur is referred to as "the one day of the year" And how its unity extends throughout the year ahead. The issue was designed by Mijal Posner with artwork from Siyata Studios and incorporates the Rebbe's commentary on Sandy Koufax, an exploration of Jewish belief and its capacity to transform the unchangeable, a practical calendar, the 30 Days of Joy program, an account of Zusha, a band that originated at a Chabad House, Amanda Spiro's account of transitioning from healing work to shlichus, and illustrations by Yehuda Lang.
Soulwise operates across 616 cities globally, with the aim of reaching one million readers. Each Chabad center can customize the magazine to include its name, events, local advertisers, and supporters.
