Rabbi Zelig and Batsheva Baumgarten, along with their baby Mendel, are establishing Chabad of Mission Valley in San Diego. The Mission Valley region, located in central San Diego, is described as a vibrant and rapidly growing area with many young families and young adults. The couple plans to launch family programs, holiday events, and services for adults and youth. They were appointed by Head Shliach Rabbi Yonah Fradkin.
