A 51-year-old Israeli man was stabbed on Thursday during an altercation with Palestinians at the Derech Avraham Farm near Elon Moreh in Samaria. He sustained serious wounds and was airlifted by helicopter to a hospital.
According to the Israel Defense Forces, the incident occurred as Israelis responded to a fire started by Palestinians from the village of Beit Furik, southeast of Nablus. During firefighting efforts, two Palestinians stabbed the man. Hebrew media reported that both attackers were killed.
Beit Furik was subsequently placed under a cordon.
Medical technician Israel Arbus of the Magen David Adom national emergency service said: "While we were providing security at the scene of a fire, civilians shouted to us that a man had been wounded in a stabbing. We immediately ran to the scene and found a man suffering from stab wounds to his body. We provided him with life-saving medical treatment, including stopping the bleeding, and, together with an IDF medical team, evacuated him to the hospital in serious condition."
