President Trump endorsed Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman for New York governor on Thursday, calling him a "FANTASTIC guy" Who will win the November election and pledging his "Complete and Total Endorsement."
President Trump endorsed Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman for New York governor on Thursday, calling him a "FANTASTIC guy" Who will win the November election and pledging his "Complete and Total Endorsement."
In a statement, Trump expressed his desire to return to New York, describing Blakeman as "Highly Respected and very popular."
"Bruce is MAGA all the way, and has been with me from the very beginning," Trump said. He pointed to Blakeman's collaboration as county executive with ICE, Border Patrol and law enforcement on border security, combating migrant crime, protecting communities and maintaining law and order.
Trump outlined positions he said Blakeman would pursue as governor, including economic growth, tax and regulatory cuts, promotion of American-made products, energy dominance, military and veteran support, election integrity and Second Amendment protection.
"Bruce Blakeman is a FANTASTIC guy, will win the big November Election and, without hesitation, has my Complete and Total Endorsement for Governor of the ONCE GREAT STATE OF NEW YORK," Trump wrote. "BRUCE WILL MAKE IT GREAT AGAIN, AND WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!"
Blakeman, a Republican, is running against Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul in the November general election. He was elected Nassau County executive in 2021 and won reelection in 2025.
