ROME TALKS: Israel, Lebanon Begin U.S.-Brokered Negotiations On Phased Withdrawal Plan

Israel and Lebanon have begun U.S.-brokered talks in Rome on implementing the June 26 ceasefire framework. A Lebanese official said Beirut will seek a phased Israeli withdrawal, with Hezbollah disarming, Israeli forces withdrawing, and the Lebanese military deploying to one area at a time.
