Thousands Of Hezbollah Terrorist Facilities Uncovered In Southern Lebanon Villages, IDF Says

Israeli Defense Forces troops operating in the Northern Command have uncovered thousands of Hezbollah facilities across southern Lebanon in recent months, the military reported. The discoveries include command centers, weapons depots, launch sites and underground infrastructure positioned within civilian villages.

According to an IDF statement, the operations target threats to Israeli civilians posed by the Iran-backed organization. Soldiers encountered living quarters, observation posts, large quantities of weapons and other military assets that Hezbollah had built over years inside Lebanese villages.

The IDF stated that Hezbollah deliberately embedded this operational network within civilian areas, establishing strategically significant locations for its activities while putting the local Lebanese population at risk.

"Over the years, Hezbollah established a broad operational network within villages in southern Lebanon, embedding terrorist infrastructure deep within civilian areas," The military said.

The operations are part of broader efforts to reduce the group's ability to launch attacks on Israel from across the border.
