Tzach Holds Inaugural Full-Day Program for Shluchos

Nearly seventy Shluchos from across New York City's five boroughs, Westchester, and Long Island gathered for the Lubavitch Youth Organization's first full-day program dedicated exclusively to Shluchos. Held on Tuesday at the Chabad of Mid-Suffolk center and hosted by Rabbi Mendel and Brocha Teldon, the "Summer Recharge" Offered a day of inspiration, practical learning, personal renewal, and connection.

The program began with a welcoming tea room where participants reconnected with friends and met neighboring Shluchos. Throughout the day, attendees participated in sessions including Pilates, clay art, sheitel care, healthy-eating tips, and a virtual tour of the Beis Hamikdash.

A session called "Let's Be Real" Presented real-life scenarios drawn from Shlichus experiences, prompting spontaneous discussion and shared reflection on the challenges and rewards of that work. Another session, "Shlichus Geography," Examined how the nature of Shlichus varies across different community settings - urban neighborhoods, suburbs, beach towns, and college campuses - while highlighting the shared mission of bringing Yiddishkeit to fellow Jews, with emphasis on simchah as essential to successful Shlichus.

Meals catered by Holesome Bagels provided a welcoming atmosphere for women who spend their year hosting others. The day concluded with a candlelit dinner featuring words of Torah.

Rabbi Shlomo Friedman, a member of the organization's Board of Directors, stated that "This inaugural program for our Shluchos recognizes the extraordinary role they play in every aspect of the mission of shlichus. Providing them with an opportunity to recharge, learn from one another, and deepen their sense of camaraderie ultimately strengthens the countless communities they serve throughout the year."
