The U.S. State Department announced Thursday that it is offering up to $15 million for information regarding the financial operations of an Iranian conglomerate and two of its executives involved in the country's missile production program.
Beh Joule Pars operates a network of companies and "plays an important role in Iranian missile production, helping to procure sensitive material to Iran's weapons industry," According to the State Department.
The conglomerate was sanctioned by Washington last year for acquiring sensitive military and aerospace components, laundering funds, and supporting the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps through the sourcing of dual-use U.S. And Western technology.
The reward offer extends to Behrooz Derakhshandeh, identified as the business's technical manager, and the organization's trade and procurement officer. Those providing useful information may receive protective relocation.
The State Department characterized the initiative as part of a wider campaign to "solicit information leading to the disruption of the financial mechanisms" Of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
The offer operates through the State Department's Rewards For Justice program, which was established in 1984 and has distributed more than $250 million to individuals worldwide who supplied information helping address threats to U.S. National security.
