Blow to the Yeshiva World: Britain Investigates Chareidi Donors Over Support for Yeshivos

British authorities have launched investigations into Chareidi donors who contributed funds to Torah institutions located beyond the Green Line, according to a report by Ari Kalman of i24NEWS.

The move follows Britain's recognition of a Palestinian state and its policy prohibiting assistance to Israeli communities in those areas. Several British citizens who donated to yeshivos there have received formal notices of investigation.

The Association of Yeshivos and Seminaries for Overseas Students appealed on Wednesday to Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, Education Minister Yoav Kisch, and Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli, urging immediate intervention. The organization cautioned that an expanded probe could "severely damage the fundraising network on which many yeshivos depend and significantly undermine their financial stability."
