A central Chof Av farbrengen held in Kazakhstan to commemorate the yahrzeit of Harav Levi Yitzchak Schneerson, the Rebbe's father, featured a notable gathering of those bearing his name.
During the event, all attendees named Levi Yitzchak were invited to the stage. Among them was Levi Yitzchak ben Chana Trebnik of Ulm, Germany, who had won a special raffle conducted among more than 1,200 registered Levi Yitzchaks in a newly established association dedicated to those named for the Rebbe's father. Trebnik also marked the occasion by completing a masechta and making a siyum.
Shluchim from seven cities across Kazakhstan were then called to the stage in sequence, representing the network working to rebuild and expand Jewish life throughout the country. The ceremony concluded with Kazakhstan's Chief Rabbi and Head Shliach, Rabbi Yeshaya Cohen, lighting a yahrzeit candle l'iluei nishmas Harav Levi Yitzchok.
Those who registered are set to be included in a special pan with their families and will be mentioned at the tziyun for brachos and success. Names will continue to be brought to the tziyun every Rosh Chodesh.
